Dr.
Jack A. Schulman is a graduate of Temple University and Palmer
College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. He has served the
community for over twenty-five years. He blends traditional
chiropractic treatment with the low force techniques of Activator,
Cox, muscle release, and kinesiology. In addition, he uses
ultrasound and electro trigger point therapy. His main goal is to
get people well as quickly as possible. “Most patients should show
at least 50% improvement in four weeks. If not, they are referred
out for further diagnosis.”Why Chiropractic? People are looking
for ways to decrease their pains and heal their injuries naturally
without relying on taking medications and having to worry about
their side affects. In June, 1999, researchers at the Boston
University School of Medicine discussed potentially fatal side
effects of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) use. NSAIDs
include medications such as aspirin, ibuprofen, (Advil, Motrin),
naproxen sodium (Aleve, Naprosym, Naprox), diclofenac (Voltaren),
indomethacin (Indocin), and many others. M. Michael Wolfe, M.D.,
professor of medicine at BUSM who led the study, said that it is a
silent epidemic, because gastrointestinal complications are not
preceded by any warning signs in a majority of individuals. He
estimated that approximately 16,500 deaths occur annually in the
U.S. from ulcer related complications associated with NSAID use.
Pain can be alleviated by chiropractic adjustments to the spine
and extremities, proper corrective exercises, and an
anti-inflammatory diet, which Dr. Schulman will discuss with you.
The most frequently treated conditions by chiropractors are: back
pain, neck pain, headaches, arm pain, and leg pain. In addition to
spinal pain, Dr. Schulman also treats problems in the ankles, knees,
wrists, elbows, shoulders, and temporomandibular joint (TMJ).
Have you ever been told that you’ll just have to live with the
pain? Have all other treatments failed to help you? Why not try
chiropractic.
Dr. Schulman accepts the following insurances: Blue Cross/Blue
Shield Major Medical and Personal Choice, Keystone Health Plan East,
Keystone Mercy Health Plan, Aetna, auto insurance, and workmen’s
compensation. Dr. Schulman is also on the panel of many other
national and local health plans.
